Here’s a great idea that starts with re-purposing Tinkle Turf from Prevue Pet. In just a couple of minutes, it can be your bird’s most favorite longest-lasting enrichment accessory.
Use swatches to place around the home, office or away so your bird has an interesting activity to do while leaving you alone to perform everyday tasks.
Cutting pieces makes it easy to have foraging and enrichment areas wherever you and your bird(s) hang out together. The pieces can also be cut smaller or larger depending upon bird or flock size.

You can cover the turf with a portion of favorite bird food. A proven bird food hack is to lay a bed of new food across the surface and sprinkle a favored treat over the new food so the 2 “foods” get mixed while falling into the turf.
The bird has no choice but to explore new tastes and textures while seeking their “favorite” seeds and morsels that have become entwined with new stuff. This conversion method provides time for the bird to follow their natural instincts, explore and not be “forced” into a new diet by enabling gradual acceptance of a fresh nutritional source.

My one concern is, what if he tries to eat the plastic turf? Can it harm him?
