TOPS 2 PACK Napoleons All In One Seed 5 Lb
5 in stock
TOPS organic seed mix is for all the small hookbills that think and act like they are 10 feet tall, often called Napoleon syndrome.
Many small parrots like cockatiels, parakeets, and parrotlets, are ground feeders. That means a good amount of their daily food is seeds. Many of the seeds they eat in nature are germinated. When seeds germinate (soak up/absorb humidity) they get ready to provide the necessary boost of nutrition for a plant to develop and grow. All of this nutrition is awakened when the seeds are soaked or germinated. Soak Napoleon’s Seed Mix and it releases this nutrition to the birds.
Serve Dry, Soaked or Sprouted!!!
Like our TOPS All-in-One soak and dry seed mix, Napoleon can be fed dry or soaked for about 5-8 hours.
Directions: Soak one part TOP’s Napoleon’s Seed Mix in three parts of room temperature water for between 8 and 10 hours. Drain, rinse with water and feed to your parrot. You can also add some apple cider vinegar, rinse again with fresh water, and serve.
Keep leftovers in the refrigerator for a few days. Rinse again before feeding.
Certified organic ingredients: Oat Groats, hulled Millet, Flax Seeds, Sesame Seeds and Buckwheat
Why we don’t have soy, peanuts or wheat in our pellets.
SOYBEANS: There are more and more disturbing data found about soybeans and products. Soybeans in their natural state contain large quantities of natural toxins and there is data that soy is cumulatively toxic when fed to animals.
For example, The PARROT SOCIETY NEW ZEALAND claims that soy products in bird food have caused such problems as immune system breakdown, failure of organs and multiplication of the birds’ own benign bacteria.
PEANUTS: It seems that more and more birds develop allergic reactions to peanuts, so we view them as a great treat for birds that are not allergic to them, but not part of their daily diet.
WHEAT: Wheat is a common allergen and contains about 80 different components that can cause a negative reaction.
The number of people that are allergic to wheat and wheat products is raising daily in alarming amounts. If that is the case for humans, and we are not sure how it acts in birds, better safe than sorry.
