I just got off the phone with Andrea, a very good customer of ours.
Andrea was fortunate enough to get a lung transplant at the age of 70.
I’m sure her primary surgeon told her many things that stand out to me are, “We’ve probably added about six years to your life” and “You have to get rid of your macaw.”
When a doctor starts predicting future outcomes like recovery times and life expectancies, I’ll follow with a question like “While you’re at it can you pick a couple of stocks for me”?
The words coming from a doctor’s mouth, are not necessarily 100% accurate.
I understand the law of averages but we’re humans, all unique so predicting things like life expectancy and recovery times is not a precise science.
Speaking of science, the prescription to remove a pet bird from the home is based on what data?
Has the air quality in her home been benchmarked while the bird still resides in there, but now at a daughter’s?
