I ordered these dishes for my cage using the dimensions you listed on your website which are #01 dish measures 5″ across the top including lip. (4 1/2″ not including lip) 3″ tall.

When I received these dishes I checked them and they do not fit my cage. And the reason they do not fit is that they are not the dimensions you state on your website.

Fluorescent lights.

The recent post here on Vit. D led me to more research. It appears most if not all of the Windy City Full Spectrum lights have simple magnetic ballasts, producing visible flicker. This is proven for chickens and assumed for the likely better eyes of psittacines with their mainly flying lifestyle.

High-frequency electronic ballasts are now standard for indoor fluorescents where human health is a consideration as the high-frequency flicker is far faster than our visual system can perceive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_ballast>Electronic Ballasts) Commonly about 3500 Hz in Compact Fluorescent Lights. HF ballasts are now competitive with previous mains rate (120Hz) magnetic ballasts products and are offered in full spectrum phosphors lights.

I sell bird toys – on the face of it, it shouldn’t be that hard. Under the hood, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.

We’ve had a retail facility burnt to the ground. We’ve had another retail facility flood with sewer water because of improper plumbing practices.

A little housekeeping
This week at the Windy City Parrot where the sun never sets empire world headquarters, our two local wi-fi networks decided to freelance.
In the digital world, you can not tolerate freelancing networks so we went out and got one of those transformers-looking routers with lots of menacing antennas and fired it up.
Getting all of the computers to talk to all the printers talk took 10 hours of my time and several hours of Catherine speaking to a number of support reps from our shipping software company.

Popcorn update

Friday 3/11/2016 – Dr Byron drained another 8 mL and gave her a shot of Lurpron. Everyday she’s with us is a gift.

I now let her out for an hour twice a day so she doesn’t tire too much and started “millet therapy” which keeps her on the ground (we’re keeping her flighted) and packs a ton of calories to help offset those used in the production of this nasty abdominal fluid production. If you’re not familiar with the story – read this.
