Is Winter Stressing Your Bird Out?
We talked about birds being the godfeathers of social media.
Birds are flock animals.
Your bird was born expecting to be in a flock. When the bird comes into your home you become its flock.
We have interactions with caged bird keepers from around the planet every day. “He won’t eat that” “I’ve tried that” “I just can’t get him off of his sunflower seed diet” (yes we actually hear that a lot – sigh).
About Pretty Bird Bird Food What is an extruded diet?
The best method available for use in the manufacture of high-quality pet foods is extrusion.
Using the extrusion process, premium quality ingredients can be ground and combined with nutritional supplements to produce a food that will provide a balanced ratio of nutrients.
How to use the Roudybush Rice Diet
If your bird is already eating a pelletized or extruded diet, switching it to Roudybush Rice Diet should be simple. Just mix the Rice Diet with the old diet and gradually decrease the old diet.
Complete, or formulated diets are “balanced” as the bird must eat the nutrients in the ratio intended. MIXED diets (seeds, fruits, and table foods) are much harder to balance and require the time-consuming use of a supplement. SEED diets are invariably low in calcium and vitamin A and high in fat and phosphorous.
A simple and SAFE way to convert most pets to a better diet is to start by cleaning the cage each evening, and leaving ONLY Tropican in the feeders (I may sprinkle some on the floor or place a small dish on the floor as well).
I am getting this so I can stay warm. Editor’s note: we don’t know what bird food your bird will like any more than if you are a fan of “Transparent”, “Scandal” or “The Walking Dead” on Netflix.

Your recent email suggests it is safe to feed a parrot grapes. In actuality grapes are sprayed with enough pesticides to quickly kill a bird.
Even organic grapes are dangerous to feed to your bird due to the lack of regulation on the use of the word “Organic”.

I have two American parakeets and two Bourkes parakeets, both male and female, non-breeding pairs. I want to optimize their health without encouraging breeding.
They are both excellent food for your bird. Harrison's has USDA organic going for it Roudybush has no peanuts Harrison's does. Roudybush also has a little variety now in that they recently…
