If you’re having problems finding the product you want on the website it may be temporarily out of stock and the item deactivated.

If you can’t find what you want at Windy City Parrot, please contact us. If we can get it for you or tell you when an item will be back in stock we will. We update the site daily, adding new products as soon as they arrive at our warehouse.

If you are using our search box and the item is not coming up, consider revising your search. Start by checking your spelling, or reducing the number of words in your search. If you’re not sure of the product name, you can search by manufacturer name. If you can’t find what you want please contact us

Back Orders:

We try to keep all items on our site available to our customers at all times. But in the event that we are out of stock for a particular item, we will contact you after your order is placed and determine a solution to best suit your needs.

Orders will be delayed if an out-of-stock item is expected soon to return to stock. If the delay is longer than 5 days the orders will be shipped without the back ordered items and when the items return to stock they will be shipped out making the order complete.

In Stock Items:

Orders with all items in stock will be securely packaged and usually shipped out within one to three business days. We currently ship FedEx & USPS Monday through Friday.

Out of Stock/Back-ordered Items:

We try to keep all items on our site available to our customers at all times but with such a large selection of items for your birds there is always a possibility that we may run out of something. But in the event that we are unknowingly out of stock for a particular item we will contact you after your order is placed and determine a solution to best suit your needs.

Orders will be delayed if an out of stock item is soon to return to stock. If the delay will knowingly be longer than 5 days the orders will be shipped without the back ordered items and when the items return to stock they will be shipped out making the order complete.

Due to the increasingly high costs of shipping these days, we reserve the right to cancel and refund for back ordered items that would cause us to incur additional shipping charges that would be more costly than the item being sent out.

We will contact each customer before shipping an incomplete order to see if another item can be substituted. If the customer does not respond to our emails or phone calls we may ship the order without the back ordered items after 3 days as to not delay the order any longer and refund accordingly.

Drop Shipped Items:

Many of the items on our website will be shipped from the manufacturer or other distribution centers. This may or may not add additional time to your shipment. If time is of the essence please call us TOLL FREE at 877-287-0810 or email us at [email protected] to find out if anything you are ordering will be delayed or come from a source other than our Chicago Illinois facilty.

Cage Orders:

So we can offer you such a wide selection of cages and colors we often will have your cage order shipped directly to you from the manufacturer instead of our facility.

Cages shipped from the manufacturer may take 5 to 14 business days but this is rare.

If you have other items on the same order, food, toys, or supplies, they may be shipped separately. A large varied order may have numerous shipments from different locations. Shipping notices will be emailed for each shipment.

Cage Manufacturer ship times: Prevue ships approx: 2-4 business days upon receipt of order, HQ ships within 1-3 business days, AE ships within 1-5 business days,

Very Large Cages and Aviaries ship within 3-14 days.

Exceptions can occur and we will contact you upon receipt of any information that might delay your order beyond normal expectations.

Small cages will be delivered to your door via FedEx or UPS.

Large cages and aviaries will be delivered via truck/freight and may be curb side service only. You will be responsible for getting the cage into your home yourself unless you contract with the driver or trucking firm for additional shipping services.

Please discuss this with your delivery person when they call to make the appointment to deliver your large cage or aviary.

Holidays and Shipping Times:

We will work to get your orders out in a timely fashion. No shipping is done on weekends or Holidays.

Order Priorities:

ALL orders are important, however orders with bird food items are considered of the most important and will be the first orders filled for the day.

Your birds MUST be fed and we know this. If we are out of an item we will contact you about it and if possible, offer you an alternative. If you are looking for a food item not seen on our website please contact us and we will try and fulfill your needs.
