This is the second time in months.
But yet at night, he wants to be covered up?
Dear Laurieann
Are you using the cover for sleep time only?
Or are you also using it to cover your bird when it is noisy?
To help reinforce the cover is for bedtime, don’t leave it draped over the cage outside of bedtime.
Set a full spectrum light on a timer directly above the cage 12 hours on and 12 hours off (we do 8:30 am to 8:30 pm).
What other toys and preening items do you have in the cage now? Perhaps you need more?

Only at sleep time.
He has more toys than one parrot can enjoy.
Then in the morning, he rings his Bell to alerts me he wants to be uncovered.
It’s very endearing.
No, I never drape it outside his cage.
And never use a scolding method.
