Seeking Prosthetic Wing for My Amazon Parrot
We spoke earlier today. We have a Senegal Perrot.
You mentioned that you have a nail trimmer and information links as well.
One of the best ways to ensure your bird’s good health is to weigh it on a regular basis.
By using a good quality gram scale (you don’t have to spend a lot of money on it) you will have one of the best preventative health tools that can provide red flags to any potential problems before they develop into something a bit more serious.
We don’t recommend using a spring-based scale used for measuring kitchen ingredients because we are seeking accuracy. (more…)
I've been quite busy lately but I always have time to follow a great scam. I am publishing this as a warning to any of you who think that this…
Hi Elaine
We received your order.
Upon examination of your order, we see you ordered a MEDIUM thermo perch for a bird that is too large for a medium thermo perch. A Scarlet Macaw will need a LARGE Thermo perch.
The medium could break and is not thick enough for such a beefy bird. A larger perch is required for such a large bird so it does not have to grip it so tight to hang on.
How many times do you get a new toy for your bird, stick it in the birdcage close the door, and then go and work on your computer or watch television?
Then you wonder why your bird chewed your television remote or the wire to your mouse. Introducing a new bird toy into your bird’s cage is no guarantee that he or she will engage it. To complicate this people will introduce new items into the birdcage when they get home from work as the sun is going down.
The problem with introducing new items in the birdcages around sundown is the shadows that can be thrown which may scare the birds or the birds may become phobic over these new items.
I recall when the movie Finding Nemo came out. Parents flocked to pet stores buying clownfish. As a result, the number of clownfish fell. These saltwater fish were brought home and put in fishbowls filled with tap water.
We haven’t had the inquiries I expected with the release of the movie RIO a story about a parrot. And I’m glad. Not that publicity is unwelcome but far too often we see pets being introduced to children and proper care is not given resulting in sickness and death. (more…)
Joanne A. Relates,
I recently saw a forum thread “Conure with sore foot help”.
What are your thoughts?
OK, Joanne,
