William R. relates,
We’ve had our African Grey for 2 years.
Today she started dumping her food dishes.
Good Afternoon Catherine & Mitch,
Happy Sunday! Hope you both are doing well!
My Caique loves toys, toys, toys. However, to keep up with the Caique demand, I run out of variety.
Ask a breeder, a pet caregiver, and a bird, and you’ll receive 3 answers.
Having watched 3 juveniles go from egg to buzzing around my head, I certainly have my opinions.
The original question on Quora verbatim ~ “Do any bird species live only in the hollows of trees and not build their own nests? If so, what kind of bird is it and why don’t they build their own nests as other birds do”? (more…)

We recently moved the cage from a bright front room in the downstairs store, upstairs to our living space where it is not as lit up from several windows but the room does have over 20 lighting fixtures).
My birds love each other but one (the pineapple) will not come to me or anyone. She takes food from me.
I think she was likely traumatized at the store since she is the same age as my first bird who is easygoing most of the time but was there much longer. I’m hoping time and patience will change it someday.
