One-word answer. NO!
We recently were given a baby parakeet from a customer who found it outside her apartment building.
She could not keep it as she has an ailing bird currently and didn’t want to take a risk.

I finally saved up money to buy a huge bag of roasted peanuts and now I’m worried about the toxins.
I thought roasted would help, but I guess not.
I purchased (for human consumption) from a company that seems legit Hampton Farms No Salt Roasted In Shell Peanuts, 5 lb. Bag Brand: Hampton Farms.
Are Peanuts a Hazard for Birds?
(Not hermetically sealed just in a ziplock bag) I hate to throw them out as my parrots like them as a treat. I guess I need to peel from the shell from what I read as the shell has most of the Aflatoxin.

Hello, I have two 21-year-old grays, that I have had since they were young babies.
They are very healthy and happy birds. In the winter months, in the south (NC), I put them out in their cage on sunny, non-windy days, if it’s above 47 degrees.
As their cage loses the sun, I bring them in, and put them on their perch, in a glass door walk-in shower.
I have asthma, so must not bring in their cage.

I have a blue and gold macaw parrot. He has been in the family since he was a baby. Sadly my great uncle was the one who got him and died shortly thereafter.
He has gone through 2 other family members until sitting with me and my dad.

Our 22-year-old sun conure recently passed.
She was a family member her entire life.
We occasionally look at bird rescue sites.
My hesitation is we have 2 dogs that limit just how much a bird can be out of the cage.

To answer “If I get a bigger parrot like a cockatoo” is a fool’s errand.
An Umbrella cockatoo is roughly 18 inches long and weighs 1.4 lbs.

My birds are all rescues.
I have a CAG of about 18.
He lives I believe, in a Featherline cage.
Very large four feet wide and two deep and dome top.
The dishes for food and water have a bar across to keep them from falling into the cage and a transparent cover outside.

I have the swag lights that require two bulbs.
I bought the 16 watts LED bulb and the UV blue bulb in September, and now they’re burned out.
I don’t even see the same bulbs as a set for sale on your site.
I have a Pagoda-style light that requires one bulb but those apparently aren’t sold for that style anymore.
I can’t keep buying lighting fixtures. Help!

Hi, recently Mom’s albino parakeet I’ve been taking care of crossed the rainbow bridge.
Mom passed in November (2020), and the bird had been with me for several years.
Believe he made it to almost 7 years old, and I’m waiting for info from the pet store on the exact age.
Just curious about your knowledge of albino parakeets, he was a sweet and cool bird.
