Diane P. is unsure on how to handle 2 abused cockatiels.
Questions: I adopted two old, abused, ignored cockatiels, mated. After six months, while hands are still instruments of the devil, they will eat millet I hold, and they both wait for me to open the cage door so we can have our morning time plus their praise and obvious notice of them as mattering.

We have a large aviary cage with 8 parakeet rescues, 5 girls, and 3 boys. The census has been up to 10, but a few have passed over the years.
We recently moved the cage from a bright front room in the downstairs store, upstairs to our living space where it is not as lit up from several windows but the room does have over 20 lighting fixtures).

Monica L. is disquieted about a rent adoption
I just adopted a little white female IRN that is a picker. I’m not concerned about that. I work with my vet to keep her healthy. But how do I get her to trust me?

Randy V. shares his thoughts,
I would really, yes really be a Feather Father. You see I really can be a Great Feather Dad. The thing is I’m home 99% of the time, I cannot walk out on a feather friend.
Because I cannot walk due to MS. I use a wheelchair to get around. But I don’t know where to even start, to find a healthy feather friend. My friend said he will sell me his African Grey when he & his wife gets sick of him. (more…)
The first answer to the Quora question:
I don’t know but I would recommend joining one of the many parrot groups on Facebook. I would think he would be eating very often. When my eclectus was 5 months he would eat a meal and then 15 minutes later be hungry again!
Well, that was helpful ~ not.
Facebook groups are the absolute worse place for pet bird information. If the information were ANY good we would not see 60% death by starvation of pet birds in the US.
Kori R. enquires,
Hello
I am researching parrots.
I am looking for the best way to go about purchasing one to add to our family.
Do you sell them or do you know of a reliable source where we can purchase one?
Thank you
