My Parakeet Won’t Chirp and Won’t Get Out of His Cage
I tried a smaller cage, giving him more attention at his level and nothing changes.
What should I be doing?

This clock is made up of different parts of the bird’s body working together, like the pineal gland and the eyes, and is synchronized with the light and dark cycles of the environment.
With their bright colors, engaging personalities, and ability to mimic human speech, it’s no wonder that they have become such popular pets.
Remember, if you don’t like to vacuum don’t get a parrot.
Dear Kajsa
I read your voicemail and wanted to send you some suggestions.
Is the bird in pain or it has a lump so that is why your father took him to the vet?
The original question on Quora verbatim ~ “Do any bird species live only in the hollows of trees and not build their own nests? If so, what kind of bird is it and why don’t they build their own nests as other birds do”? (more…)
Hi Mitch,
I have been searching for a “helmet” for a CAG (Congo African grey vs a TAG Timneh African grey) who has a photosensitivity issue in her eye from cataract surgery.
I want to find her a device she can were to make her eyesight more comfortable.
The parakeet in the helmet jumped out at me when I saw it. Do you know anyone who might be able to fabricate such headwear for Marie?
As you have parakeets and have helped me in the past, I have another question.
My female budgie about 10 years old appears to have issues with crop or swallowing.Â
It’s 17 years I have my bird and his beak grows so fast, I try to clip it with a nail clipper but sometimes it bleeds, can you tell how best I can cut his beak.
Gloria W. is concerned about her budgie’s feather growth.
First – I enjoy your Sunday messages very much. Thank you.
Now a question. From all i have tried to research I think my budgie is growing primary feathers as I purchased him one wing trimmed.
