Pet birds add vibrancy and life to our homes with their beautiful colors and charming sounds (I’ve always found smoke alarm sounds to be charming or was that until I got a __________ in my home.
However, feeding them properly requires more than just filling their bowls with random mixtures of seeds fruits, and nuts.

I just lost my Goffin Cockatoo, Casper of 24 years this last month.
I am devastated. He had started having seizures a few years ago and they had progressively gotten worse but he was then hospitalized at my Avian vet for Arteriosclerosis.
We need to provide reasons for you to spend time on our website and eventually have the trust to shop with us. While looking at our website recently, placing myself in your position, I found myself looking at many products that didn’t necessarily explain themselves well.
Some signs that a pet bird is not healthy include:
General Physical Appearance:
Ruffled or unkempt feathers, changes in vocalization, fluffed feathers, reduced appetite, weakness, drooping wings, distended abdomen, listlessness, inactivity, depression, reluctance to move, sleeping more than usual.
Sometime between 6:30 and 7 AM every morning I briefly awake to take a pee, quench my morning mouth with a swig of sugar-free ginger ale, and uncover 4 bird cages – not necessarily in that order.
I took my adopted old cockatiel to the vet and asked about his inability to eat virtually all foods, including common seeds given as treats or a basic diet, depending upon the owner’s philosophy of feeding.
Caring for a pet bird involves more than just providing food and water.
