My budgie recently had “laryngitis” is what the vet said.
We operate Windy City Parrot and our social stores from a large historic (1928) “bungalow.”
About 20 years ago the building suffered a fire that was extinguished by the Lowell volunteer fire department 3 minutes away by a fire truck.
Parrotlets and lovebirds may appear remarkably similar upon initial observation. Back in the 1800s, when parrotlets were first encountered – an entire century after Europeans became acquainted with lovebirds – they were dubbed South American lovebirds.

I have noticed that parakeets and cockatiels who have had their wings clipped at a very young age flew wildly and into windows when their flight feathers grow back in.
