It’s 17 years I have my bird and his beak grows so fast, I try to clip it with a nail clipper but sometimes it bleeds, can you tell how best I can cut his beak.

My 9-year-old conure is having an issue with his beak.
Two months ago I had his Avian vet trim his top beak as it was very long. Less than a month later his bottom beak got really long. So back to the Vet Jax went. The vet said to give him hard nuts to chew or a cuttlebone.

My Caique is staying with my parents for about 37-40 days. He likes them but I miss him tremendously & hear him scream for me when he hears me on the phone or FaceTime. I will need him to have some distance too from my husband for a while since he got a transplant once we get home.

One has a bald spot on her head. Both are female (both have laid eggs in the past) . They are allowed out but now they seem to stay inside or on top of their cage for most of the day. Do you think it is due to their age?
